Privacy Policy & Data Protection (GDPR)

This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we process it, and what rights you have in connection with using the Taxi Cieszyn website.

1. Data Controller

The controller of your personal data is Taxi Cieszyn, based in Cieszyn (email: kontakt@cieszyn-taxi.pl, phone: 601 514 142). We process data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

2. Scope, Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

Personal data (e.g. phone number, email address, route details) provided voluntarily by phone, email, or the contact form is processed in order to perform the transport service, prepare a price quote, and contact the client directly. The legal basis for processing is taking steps prior to entering into a contract and its performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), while data collected through analytics and advertising tools is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in analyzing traffic and promoting our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website uses cookies in three categories: (1) necessary – ensuring basic website functionality, not requiring consent; (2) analytical – allowing us to measure traffic and usage patterns (Google Analytics 4); (3) marketing – used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and personalize ads (Google Ads). Analytical and marketing cookies are installed only after you give consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time through the cookie banner settings available on the site or via your browser settings.

4. Google Tools (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager, Search Console)

We use the following services provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited: Google Tag Manager (to manage tags and scripts), Google Analytics 4 (to analyze visit statistics), Google Ads (to run and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns), and Google Search Console (to monitor the site's visibility in search results). Analytics and Ads scripts are triggered only after consent is given, via Google Consent Mode — until you consent, no data is sent for analytics or advertising purposes. More information on how Google processes data can be found in Google's privacy policy.

5. Data Transfers Outside the European Economic Area

Our provider of analytics and advertising tools (Google) may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and other safeguards ensuring an adequate level of data protection, as applied by Google under the Google Ads Data Processing Terms.

6. Data Retention Period

Contact data provided to perform a service is stored for as long as necessary to complete it and for the period required by applicable law (e.g. tax regulations). Data collected via analytical and marketing cookies is stored for the period resulting from the settings of the respective Google tools (by default up to 14 months for Google Analytics 4), unless you withdraw your consent earlier.

7. User Rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing, request data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. For data processed on the basis of consent (analytical/marketing cookies), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — the President of the Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.
